By installing or using Learnword, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must uninstall and discontinue all use of the extension.
2. Description of Service
Learnword provides instant word definitions, synonyms, usage examples, and a personal lookup history stored locally in your browser. Data is retrieved from trusted third-party dictionary APIs. The service is provided “as is,” and may include inaccuracies or omissions based on third-party sources.
3. License and Restrictions
Learnword grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license for personal use. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or use the software for any commercial or competitive purpose without written permission.
4. API and Third-Party Services
Learnword relies on external dictionary APIs (such as DictionaryAPI, Merriam-Webster, Wordnik). These services are governed by their own terms, and Learnword is not responsible for changes or downtime in their data.
5. Lookup History and User Data
All lookup history is stored only in your browser’s local storage. We do not transmit, upload, or store this data on any external server. You may clear this history at any time from your browser or by reinstalling the extension. No contextual browsing data, URLs, or personal identifiers are collected or stored.
6. Payments
Payments for Learnword Pro are processed securely via a third-party provider, Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you agree to their respective billing terms and refund policies.
7. Limitation of Liability
Learnword and its developers are not liable for any loss, damages, or data inaccuracies arising from the use or inability to use the software.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Learnword if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Learnword after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
